Paul Waibel

I am a history professor at a private, Christian college with more than thirty years teaching experience. I have written numerous articles and six books. I am married to a wonderful woman who understands me and shares my interests. I like to read books, both non-fiction and fiction, that deal with the meaning of life, i.e., whether or not there really is any. For example, with regard to fiction, Jostein Gaarder is my favorite author. I am a romantic about history, and love to be in historical places. I like to write. I have a web page (pwaibel@newsvine.com) where I have recently taken to posting my opinions and reflections. I enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies. I like Christian books written by, and for, thinking Christians, but do not care for what I would call "inspirational goo."
